ITALIAN ALLEY

A new dining concept, Italian Alley, arrives in Camden Market...

Housed inside five restored railway arches, Italian Alley brings you five different Italian foods alongside carefully-chosen craft beer.

The Spot:
Surrounded by street food traders and an abundance of international cuisines, Italian Alley aims to stand out using the very best Italian produce and traditional techniques. Fine dining this isn’t, encouraging you to sample and share (or maybe not) dishes from each arch, from comfort food favourites to refreshing takes on classics.

The Food:
Start at Brace for BBQ dishes such as marinated pork skewers and baked aubergine; experience the carb-heavy hybrid of pizza and bread at Ciambotta (think bowls filled crunchy dough and stews); try Polpetta’s modern meatballs formed of both meats and vegetables; or see how Semola gives the limelight to durum wheat in pasta dishes like taglioni and gnocchi. For something familiar, get your fix of focaccia with seasonal toppings at Focacceria Nazionale.

The Drinks:
The perfect partner to your meal, each arch offers a different Italian beer from independent farm craft brewery Baladin, as well as a newly launched Italian Alley special (the Nazionale).

The Damage:
Prices vary per arch, but expect dishes to cost around £8-£9. Beers are priced at £4.30 or £5.10.

In a Nutshell:
If you love Italian food – whether it’s traditional or reimagined – Italian Alley will be right up your alley.
