One of Stirling’s newest pizzerias has, after a quick 10 months, become a popular local business and an acclaimed award-winning establishment, as the authentic Italian restaurant accepted the Dine In 2017 award in the ‘best pizza takeaway in Scotland’ category.
Monday August 7, saw the quaint pizzeria throw a celebratory party, complete with a buffet of hors d’oeuvres, complimentary pizza fresh out of the wood-fire oven, and mellow Italian tunes.
Guests were welcome to bring their own bottle as the restaurant slowly filled up with well-wishers, while the buzz also attracted numerous passing tourists.
One of the founders of Napizza, Alex Sorlei, is a fourth year International Politics and French student at the university, and the initiator of the idea to bring the authentic Napoli pizza tradition to Scotland.
Dedicated to providing a genuine south Italian product and experience, the team import the necessary fresh ingredients, and employ traditional Italian cooking methods for their pizzas.
Plans for expansion are also in the pipeline, as the owners have announced the imminent opening of a second restaurant.
